I’m not usually one for beauty product reviews – in fact I’m not one for beauty products at all. I own one type of lipstick, one type of mascara (which is probably too old) and a liquid eyeliner that I have literally not a single clue what to do with.
Since I’ve started running my skin has got particularly bad – I’m guessing it’s from all the ‘glowing’ I’ve been doing. When I say glowing I do of course mean sweating like a pig as soon as I put workout gear on. Either way my skin has got horribly bumpy and teenage era spots have reappeared.
I wandered into Superdrug and become instantly overwhelmed by the sheer amount of stuff that could apparently solve the problem. How on earth is anyone supposed to know what to pick amongst the hundreds of products that will apparently make me look younger, better and less bumpy?!
Thankfully I was rescued by a lovely young lady who directed me to Nivea Pure Effect 3-in-1 Daily Deep Cleansing Exfoliating Wipes. These are clever little wipes that have two sides and two functions – one side removes make-up and cleanses while the other side is textured and lifts and removes old skin that your face would prefer you removed.
While I don’t quite understand what Magnolia Extract is or why it’s in the wipes I do know my skin feels great after using them everyday for the last couple of weeks. Teenage spots have cleared up and the annoying bumps have got a bit better although they haven’t disappeared completely. That be more to do with the sweating like a pig than the product though – I suspect I’m too far into bumpy land to be rescued. My skin is full of age and regret and even Magnolia Extract can’t save me at this point.
My skin feels softer and looks in better condition though and bearing in mind I have no skin care routine at all it can only be down to these wipes.
So in short yes I recommend these lovely wipes – they also happen to be half price in Superdrug at the moment. So they are good for your face and your wallet.
If you like beauty reviews but care for them to be a little more in depth and coherent than this one was I would recommend you check out the lovely blog by Zabelle. She blogs about products, beauty and cats….it’s a good read and you can find it here – http://zabelle.co.uk/
